Vacation Home 4 – Otter Tail Lakes Country Resort

Happy Halloween from all of us at East Silent Resort! Today was a shingling day. This morning was breezy and cold but it turned into a beautiful day. They were able to get the whole roof of the main building shingled. They just have the little entry roof left. East Silent Resort is an Otter Tail Lakes Country Resort and here in lakes country, there is never a dull moment. In the winter activities slow down, but there is always an event somewhere in one of the amazing communities we are surrounded by. Detroit Lakes for example hosts their Polar Fest every year to celebrate winter. There are fireworks, snowman building contests, dinners and more! Perham even hosts a parade! It is called the parade of lights and is held in the evening. Floats are decked out with numerous different kinds of holiday lights and they always have a great turn out, no matter how cool it is. Detroit Lakes hosts a similar event called Light Up the Lakes.
