Buchanan Lake is a 929-acre lake located in east-central Otter Tail County approximately two miles north of Otter Tail, MN. It is common for locals and visitors alike to select Buchanan Lake as an early morning fishing hole.

These species thrive because of the quality habitat that exists. Hardstem bulrush and common cattails are located in various locations around the lake.
