Communities

East Silent Resort is centrally located in Otter Tail County and only minutes from Perham, Pelican Rapids, Detroit Lakes, and Fergus Falls. These surrounding communities offer a variety of unique stores, entertainment, and restaurants. Kids will enjoy the miniature golf courses, go-carts, and horseback riding. Throughout the year, these local communities also host several art shows, music fairs, carnivals and community festivals...including the world famous Perham Turtle Races.

  • Pelican Rapids 
    Being the gateway to beautiful Maplewood State Park, Pelican Rapids is a bustling city that is a favorite summer and winter vacation spot in scenic Otter Tail County. Pelican Rapids is also home to the “Worlds Largest Pelican”.
  • Detroit Lakes
    Located just north of East Silent Resort, you'll find a great number of activities in Detroit Lakes including the Northwest Carnival, the Becker County Fair, We Fest, and the 10,000 Lake Festival.
  • Fergus Falls
    With a vast number of clean lakes and wooded areas, Fergus Falls Minnesota is the gateway to the lakes and hills region of Otter Tail County.
  • Perham
    Whether you come during the summer or winter, Perham has something to offer for every season. Located 180 miles NW of Minneapolis, Perham is surrounded by rolling hills and scenic woods.
  • Elizabeth
    For many guests traveling to East Silent Resort, Elizabeth serves as the front door to the Otter Tail Country Lakes area. While small, you'll easily find your last minute gear or vacation supplies in Elizabeth.
  • Erhard
    Don't miss "Erhard Days"...an annual 4th of July celebration were people come to watch the parade and enjoy city park festivities afterward.
  • Underwood
    Underwood Minnesota has a population of over 350 friendly people and is located in west central Minnesota. Come to Underwood and check out the Foss Log Cabin.
  • Battle Lake
    Battle Lake, known as the “Little City with a Big Heart”, offers many unique shops, parks and resorts, eateries and endless summer events.
  • Vergas
    The citizens of Vergas live by the adage: "We are small enough to know you, but big enough to serve you!" The city of Vergas is also known for the world's largest Loon.
  • Dent
    Dent is situated in the heart of the lake country region providing great fishing in summer and winter. Dent may be most famous for their annual Testicle Festival each fall.
  • Ottertail
    Otter Tail City is in the heart of Otter Tail County. In the winter, Otter Tail City is home to 313 residents, when summer arrives, the population swells to over 1000 people. Don't miss out on the annual Otterfest...a two day event on the shores of Otter Tail Lake.
  • Frazee
    Home of the world's largest turkey, Frazee is surrounded by lakes and recreational land. Frazee is also just minutes from the Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge.
