Minnesota Fishing Report

It looks like it’s going to be a stormy weekend. But we may get a chance for some fishing! Before you go out make sure to check out this week’s fishing report!

Otter Tail Lakes Country

With the warm weather we had been having the fish were starting to move to their summer areas, but with the weather being cooler the past few days, that may change. Walleyes are in 8-11 feet to 16-22 feet, with the evening bite being strong. Use a jig set up with minnows or leeches for the best walleye results. Anglers are finding bass in 8-14 ft with spinnerbait or a jig and minnow set up. The northern pike are being taken in 10-15 feet in the weeds; the best presentation has been with daredevils or spinner rigs with minnows. Crappies are suspended over the weeds in 8-15 feet, with the best approach being jigs with crappie minnows. For some sunfish action, the best results have been with nightcrawlers or waxworms in 5-8 feet in the weeds.
