In the Detroit Lakes area, only a short drive from East Silent Lake Resort, the Winter Wonderland Snowmobile Trails are still rideable, with a 5 inch base on average. Conditions range from poor to good, and trails will continue to be groomed at night as long as conditions permit. Over 250 miles of snowmobile trails traverse the area, offering views of rolling prairie to secluded woodlands filled with wildlife. Cross country skiers are still enjoying good conditions on trails in the Waubun vicinity. Grooming will occur throughout this week.
