Have you noticed the amount of noise surrounding you every day? And the number of distractions? Phones, television, news, conversations, traffic, and office machines, just to name some of the things responsible for all the sound pollution. Add to that all the internal noise—stress from work, personal relationships, responsibilities, the stream of consciousness about an interaction you had in a meeting ten minutes ago, a disagreement with your partner 10 days ago, a bad financial decision ten years ago!

Silent retreats offer stillness, a break from the noise, so that you can listen to your internal wisdom. Your goal is to reconnect with yourself, your gifts, and your purpose. Do this through mindful living. So there will be guidance to eat mindfully, walk mindfully, and retrain our bodies and minds to be still. A part of the experiencing is education and guidance on releasing limiting beliefs, regrets and worries, and tapping into a true vision of yourself—aligning your strengths, your interests, and your creativity. You’ll return to your life more grounded, more centered, more wise.

From morning and throughout the day, silence is the intention. The evening hours are yours to be alone in the quiet (read a book, watch a movie, journal) or gather with other members. If you want to ensure a total digital detox, we will hold your phone safely and shut down the television!

ESR’s Silent Retreat carefully guides you through the experience with a balance of structure and openness. Forty-eight hours of silent contemplation with guided meditations, simple yoga poses, and breathing techniques. Also provided are brief educational sessions on mindsets, intention setting, and creative activities to activate and build upon your inherent strengths and what bring you joy and purpose.
